For grades 1 – 5 we provide a wonderful Christian environment for children, that is safe, fun, and exciting. We utilize Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life curriculum that integrates a variety of activities including skits, games, bible skills, verse memorization, story-telling, role-playing and more.
Proverbs instructs us to ‘Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it’ – a calling we endeavor to fulfill as we provide the foundations of faith and an introduction to God’s Word.
Sunday School classes are divided by grade with 2 – 3 leaders per classroom to help guide your children in studying God’s word.
We have a point system in Sunday School to encourage your child to develop discipline in the areas of church attendance, tithing, scripture memorization, reading the Bible and inviting others to church to hear the Good News.
Each week your child receives points for:
- On-time attendance
- Bringing their Bible
- Bringing offering money
- Memorizing the assigned Bible verse
- Bringing a friend
The last Sunday of every month children may use their “points” in the Sunday School store for various prizes or candy. Any amount of points may be carried over to the next month.
If you have any questions about Sunday School or would like to volunteer in the Children’s Department, please speak with Becky Kucera, Children’s Sunday School Director or Kay DeWall, Education Ministry Assistant.
